WoW Forever news: every official Blizzard post, read from Blizzard's own site every 30 minutes — with a guide to what each kind of post means

WoW Forever news comes from one place before anywhere else: Blizzard's own World of Warcraft news site, where the announcement, the BlizzCon round-up and the three panel recaps were published between 12 and 13 September 2026. The feed below is that listing, re-read every 30 minutes by this site's server, with every post whose title or blurb mentions Forever pulled to the top and the rest of Blizzard's recent WoW posts kept beneath for context. Nothing is rewritten; each line links to Blizzard's page.

Below the feed is a short reader's guide: the kinds of post Blizzard publishes about a launch, in what order they tend to arrive, and which other official channels carry news the news site does not.

How to read the feed

Posts are newest first, with the date Blizzard's page carries. The 'Forever' filter is a plain match on the title and summary, so a hotfix post covering several game versions will only appear at the top if Blizzard mentions Forever in its blurb. If the feed says Blizzard's listing was unreachable, the page shows nothing rather than a stale copy — reload later. The feed reads Blizzard's public listing only; it does not read the forums (the forum watch does that) or press.

  • Source: worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/news, public listing.
  • Refresh: every 30 minutes at most (the page is cached between reads).
  • Filter: title or blurb mentions 'Forever'.
  • Fallback: an explicit 'unreachable' notice, never stale data presented as live.

The kinds of post Blizzard has published so far, and what each is for

Five posts define the record as of 16 September. The announcement ('Carve a New Path with World of Warcraft: Forever') carries the launch date and hour, the beta date and every pack's contents. The BlizzCon round-up places Forever beside the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and schedules the 17 September Q&A. The What's Next panel recap holds the zones, dungeons, raids, battleground, Skyborne rules and the roadmap sentence. The Deep Dive recap holds the systems — camping, professions, Legacy, realmless, transmog, combat, itemization, racials, talents and the Paladin pass. The Found Photos recap holds the setting, the ship routes and the Riverglades detail.

Every prose page on this site is built from those five, and each names the one it quotes.

What to expect next from the news site, in the order Blizzard usually works

Blizzard's stated intentions give the shape without dates: class and race details 'through future videos and articles'; the legendary reward 'revealing in full'; more on Hardcore. Its habits for Classic launches add: a beta or PTR notes post when testing begins (the beta opens 17 September), a launch-procedure post shortly before the date, and hotfix posts once the game is live — its current hotfix posts already list every version of WoW they cover, so Forever will presumably join that list on 4 November. None of these is announced; each is a pattern, and this feed will show them the half-hour they appear.

The official channels this feed does not cover

The official forum's WoW: Forever category, where Blizzard staff answer threads — this site's forum watch reads it every 15 minutes. The Warcraft Twitch and YouTube channels, where the 17 September Q&A streams at 10:00 a.m. PDT with a VOD afterwards. The Battle.net Shop, where pack prices live. The Blizzard Gear Store, for the Collector's Edition. And Blizzard's social accounts, which this site does not read. Between the feed and the forum watch, the two channels Blizzard uses for written statements are covered.

  1. News site — this feed.
  2. Official forum, WoW: Forever category — forum watch page.
  3. Twitch / YouTube — the 17 Sep Q&A and future streams; not read automatically.
  4. Battle.net Shop and Gear Store — prices and editions; checked by hand.
  5. Social accounts — not read.

How this site turns a post into a page change

When a Forever post appears in the feed, the relevant prose page is edited by hand — a new date on the roadmap, a corrected number, a new class section — and the change is logged with the date on the roadmap hub's changelog. The feed itself changes nothing automatically except its own list; the prose is never rewritten by software. That is deliberate: a live feed is only as trustworthy as its source, and the prose is only as trustworthy as the reading of it.

Questions people ask

Where does WoW Forever news come from?
Blizzard's own World of Warcraft news site. This page re-reads its public listing every 30 minutes and links each post.
Why does the feed sometimes show nothing?
If Blizzard's listing is unreachable when the page renders, the feed shows an 'unreachable' notice instead of stale data. Reload later.
Does the feed include the forums?
No — the forum watch page reads the official WoW: Forever forum separately.
How many Blizzard posts about Forever exist?
Five as of 16 September 2026: the announcement, the BlizzCon round-up and three panel recaps.
Will beta patch notes appear here?
If Blizzard publishes them on its news site, yes, within 30 minutes. Forum-only posts appear on the forum watch.
